Thru’penny Bit (Pink)

  • This series of coins evokes nostalgia in those old enough to recall them, and curiosity in those who are too young.

They are collagraphs, inked up using the viscosity method, which is where inks of different thickness (viscosity) are rolled into and over the plate before it is printed. It is impossible to control how the ink ends upon the plate, and so each print in the edition is slightly different. This is known as a Varied Edition, and is marked up as such with the letters VE alongside the edition number.

This is number six of an edition of six. It measure 30 x 25cm and is supplied unframed.
